Q - I have tried sending a job to print, but I get the error message: "Port Could Not Be Opened". How do I resolve this issue?
A - This is either a connection fault, the printer/plotter not being powered up or the media not being loaded properly. Check all connections, restart the PC and printer/plotter and check the media is loaded correctly. If the printer/plotter is connected via a network cable, ensure the IP address is correct. If you are unsure how to check and setup an IP address, we have a detailed help file available, showing how to "Install printers/plotters in EasySIGN with an IP address", which we can either fax or email to you. Please email support@victorydesign.co.uk and request this help file.

Q - Our printer will not be used for a week/two weeks. Will it be alright stood for this long?
A - If a printer is not used for a period of three days or more, the inks may start to dry out. This can cause blockages within the heads and stop them firing correctly, which can be a difficult and expensive problem to resolve. It is therefore important to prevent this happening, by flushing the printer through with maintenance flush and leaving it in this "flushed" state until it is to be used again. We have a detailed help file available, showing how to "Flush ink through a printer", which we can either fax or email to you. Please email support@victorydesign.co.uk and request this help file, including the make and model of printer you would like to flush.
