Every year the NEC Birmingham is host to The Commercial Vehicle Show and 2013 was the year for Victory Design to make a stand!
Running from 9th to 11th April we chose the show as our opportunity to unveil the Fleet ID system. With over 18,000 visitors there were no shortage of punters wanting to see a demonstration of our revolutionary system – a system designed to take the pain out of Chapter 8 and vehicle livery procurement.
We were very lucky to have the support of Citroen UK who loaned us one of their brand new Nemos for our stand. This proved to be a fantastic demonstration of our vehicle wrapping service and we ensured the van was wrapped in a suitably eye catching livery – it certainly drew loads of admiring glances!
In addition to the Nemo we also had on our stand a ‘blood bike’ supplied by Medi-Bike.
Despite the ridiculously early starts, the team were raring to go - due in no small part to the consumption of Red Bull (other energy drinks are available!) on each of the Show’s days, ready to spread the Victory message!
Sales Supervisor Kylie, Sales Executive David and Operations Manager Lee heroically manned the stand on all three days with Kate and Luke attending the Show for two days and one day (lightweight!) respectively.

Victory Design are pleased to announce the launch of their new digital media range Poli-Print, manufactured by Poli-Tape in Germany.
Victory has added this media range to their existing digital range and Poli-Print will sit alongside their Jac and Avery digital products offering customers a wider choice of products.
The Poli-Print range has media with clear and grey adhesives; the grey adhesive products provide greater opacity for applications that require this.
Poli-Print media can be used for a wide variety of applications such as signs, exhibitions, vehicles and floor graphics.
There are both monomeric and polymeric medias available. The monomeric products are ideal for flat, curved or slightly corrugated surfaces. The polymeric medias are more suited to long term outdoor applications due to the UV and weather resisting solvent adhesive.
All Poli-Print products are available as 50m rolls in various widths of 760, 1370 and 1524mm.
The Poli-Print 810 monomeric transparent film acts as a dual product; a gloss digital and clear lamination film. This product can also be used as a laminate on the other monomeric digital products. Similarly in the polymeric range the Poli-Print 1010 is also a dual product – a digital and lamination film.

Today we announced our 25 years in business with a large full colour banner outside our premises in Clowne, Chesterfield. Our Managing Director Carole Smy believes a customer focused approach is the key to longevity in business, she says;

2012 is definitely a year for celebration not only because of the Queens Jubilee, the Olympics and Euro 2012 but also because Victory Design Ltd celebrates its 25th year in business.
Victory Design is renowned for their supplies in sign making, garment marking and digital printing. Selling both online and offline and with premises based in Clowne, Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
Victory Design was founded in 1987 by Tony Biggin who is now the Chairman of the company and also celebrates his 70th birthday this year. Tony explains his reasons for establishing the company here;
“The business was a product of the digital revolution, where computer aided design and manufacture revolutionised the sign making industry and created an opportunity for material distribution. The innovations of digital print and suitable inks to give external durability further expanded the opportunities in our industry. The next 25 years will be even more exciting and challenging.”
In 2008 Tony stepped down, handing the reigns to Carole Smy who became Managing Director and at the same time Justin Hines became Sales Director.
Previously Carole was the Financial Director, she provides strong leadership for the company and a customer focused approach. “I firmly believe in making sure Customers receive the best possible service from start to finish. Our excellent Customer service enables us to maintain the loyalty of our Customers which is very important to me”.
Justin always jokes that he has worked at the company as a man and boy! He has worked from apprentice to board level and therefore has a very good understanding of all aspects of the company and industry. “I have been fortunate that over the years I have seen many changes within the company and the industries we work in. We have built up some great relationships to a point that our Customers are considered as friends and not just Customers. I remember just serving the local area with sign making supplies to now on a nationwide basis with a Customer base of over 3000 with 3500 product lines.”
Victory Design employes 28 staff in various roles including product sales, accounts, administration, marketing, warehousing and production. Recently Victory Design has been supporting local young people by employing apprentices in different roles, they are also studying for an NVQ qualification.
