What materials can I expect supplied from Victory Design in my Chapter 8 kit?
What is the difference between 3M & Nikkalite reflective materials?
How do your kits come supplied into us and how do I know I have got everything I need?
All our kits come as pre cut individual panels with all our microprismatic films edge sealed within our cutting process to stop any penetration of water and dirt within the reflective cells. The panels are then hinged together with masking tape to aid in the fitting process. The kit is then folded and wrapped and then placed in between 2 sheets of foam board for protection ready for shipment. All our kits are supplied with the relevant drawing proof for the vehicle ordered to aid in the fitting process and to ensure the material within the kit matches to the proof before you begin fitting.
How long will it take to receive my kit?
We aim to keep the delivery time for all of our kits to a minimum and currently work on a 3-5 day lead time from day of proof being signed off. However if you have a special requirement for a quicker delivery time then don’t hesitate to ask or fill in the
online order enquiry form as part of the order stating delivery time required and we will do our upmost to meet your needs. Once the kit is produced it will be sent by our courier service on a 24 hour delivery service. We also offer a timed delivery service to UK mainland of Pre 9.00am, Pre 10.30am and Pre Noon for a small additional cost.

Why do you need to edge seal some of the reflective products used in the Chapter 8 kits in your cutting process?
The reason for edge sealing is to close off any open cells ensuring that any dirt, water or other foreign bodies does not enter and affect the reflectivity of the material. By edge sealing you are also ensuring that the manufacturer will offer a guarantee on the product, this also avoids any failings in turn making sure you get a clean looking, well performing product.
What is the best and easiest way to fit your Chapter 8 Kit?
The kit will be supplied to you with all individual panels taped together; the easiest way is to start by taping the top of the kit to the vehicle so you can check that everything is in order by matching what you see to the diagram provided. Please see
Application guide for full details.
Is Chapter 8 a legal requirement or a recommendation and what would I need to use to meet either of these?
The Department For Transport (DFT) code of practice for safety at street works and road works require rear conspicuity markings on all works vehicles whether new or not. However, vehicle operators are strongly advised to adopt compliant marking for vehicles now as Highways Agency contracts already require it. DFT guidance on marking is published in Chapter 8 of the traffic signs manual and failure to follow safety guidelines and best practice carries the risk of substantial liability or even criminal charges should this result in a serious accident. Reduce accidents and save lives Improve safety and increase visibility of vehicles Reduced accidents means less downtime and decreased repair costs Improve corporate image through being more proactive about safety Protect your company against potential legal action related to third party safety All our livery kits meet or exceed guidelines set out by REMA (Retroreflective Equipment Manufacturers Association) Please click on the links below to see the full recommendations and regulations for chapter 8 vehicle markings.

If I require a replacement panel how do I go about this and how long would it take to arrive?
Each of our kits as a unique number - Quote this when requesting a replacement panel which will then allow us to establish which panels you require for your vehicle. We offer a 72 hour delivery time for all replacement panels meaning your vehicle will be of the road for a short period of time ensuring the cost to your business is kept to a minimum.
Can you still offer me a service if you do not have the vehicle I require listed?
For more obscure vehicles we have the ability to template any vehicle. However there may be an additional charge for this process based on where we can locate a vehicle to carry out this process. From this we can then take the template and upload this to our substantial library of vehicles ready for cutting your required chapter 8 kit. There would be an additional lead time when a template is required which we aim to carry out and deliver to you within 10 days from the point of ordering.
