Yes, for HGV each colour is for different locations on the vehicle. White on the front, red or yellow on the rear, and yellow/white for the side. The Fluo Yellow-Green is more typically used in accordance with Chapter 8 as a side strip and for escort vehicles.
Rigid ECE104 tape is designed for large HGVs and box vans – and is not for curtain sided vehicles.
Any new HGV registered that’s over 7.5 tonnes or trailers over 3.5 tonnes must use conspicuity markings.
