Avery Supreme Wrapping Film - How to handle, avoid and remove tension in the film

During the application you will often introduce tension into the vinyl material by squeegeeing or simply stretching the film. This tension can always be removed by using heat. It is important that you heat the film to 40 degrees celsius (maximum of 50) keeping the heat gun in motion.


Avery Supreme Wrapping Film - How to apply Avery Supreme Wrapping vinyl around curves and indents

This video offers information on how to correctly post and apply Avery Dennison Supreme wrapping film using a Thermometer and a heat gun. The example panel is from a typical van found across the UK with deep channels and curves. The thermometer allows for temperature measurement from a distance.

The Thermometer utilises a laser to measure the distance from the panel and the temperature of its surface. We suggest that the distance is around 25cm when using the Thermometer. This presentation will also show the correct usage of the heat gun, its ideal power settings, distances and motion.

The unique adhesive system of the film enables you to easily lay it down, eventually you will bring some degree of tension into the film gently pulling the film spreading any tension. Spread any wrinkles as much as possible using heat and a squeegee as presented in this video.
