MEDIUM TACK PAPER APPLICATION TAPES
For many medium to large applications, a high quality medium tack application tape will fit the bill. The soft and flexible nature of paper application tapes appeal to many users and if you find the right one, you may use it for the majority of your work.
They are usually easily torn by hand, so quick and easy to use. You just need to consider the adhesive - stringy adhesive can be a real pain when you're in the middle of lying up lettering and graphics, so opt for one with an adhesive that stands up to tearing, such as Unitac application tape.
For some valuable added benefits, you only have to a pay a little extra for R Tape Conform 4050 RLA. This medium tack paper application tape ticks all the boxes of a standard weight paper application tape, plus a few more! It can be wet or dry applied and the RLA Release Liner Adhesion stops the 'dog-earing' that can happen when tapes stick together.

Some clear application tapes can be torn by hand, such as Unitac Clear Embossed. This tape has great layflat properties and creates low static charge when unwinding (which can be a drawback of some clear application tapes).
